Welcome to our adoption journey
We are Rex and Heidi, and we are looking to add a beautiful little girl to the wonderful mayhem that three boys bring us.
We are home study approved!
Our Adoption Biography
Hi! We’re Rex and Heidi Seegmiller. We’re planning to expand our family through
private, open/semi-open adoption of a baby girl of any race or nationality. We are home-
study approved. We have three kind, brave boys who are so excited to be the protection
detail for a new little princess that will, hopefully, grace our family soon. We are excited
to forge a connection that feels right for everyone involved with this adoption process.
A little about us: Rex and I met on Tinder and have been married for 9 years. We live in
Utah County with great access to family-friendly adventures like Cornbelly’s, Luminaria,
and the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. We camp in style with the grandparents in
our tent trailer, named Fort Tilly, and their RV, named Harvey. We also get to visit Rex’s
family in Washington County a couple of times a year. We’re surrounded by loving
family, friends, and our church community who are all thrilled to welcome our baby girl.
Our daily shenanigans consist of epic dance parties to the great hits of Danny Go, ninja
training with grandma, treasure hunts at thrift stores, and snack picnics at the gas
station.
Rex has his Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management with an emphasis in
Transportation and Logistics. He works as a Warehouse Foreman for The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoys growing interesting indoor plants and has
recently found a new hobby of 3D printing. I (Heidi) have both my Bachelor’s and
Master’s degrees in Social Work and a minor in Psychology. I work as a stay-at-home
mom. I love art, crafting, and homemaking, but painting in acrylic has always been my
ultimate happy place.
I was able to birth our three boys through IVF, but because of endometriosis and
pregnancy complications, I couldn’t complete our family with my own body. We feel
honored to have the privilege of doing this through the miracle of adoption. I’ve planned
and prepared for motherhood since I was a little girl and have always known that we
would have at least one boy and one girl. Rex and I discussed this possibility from the
beginning of our marriage. When we learned that our last pregnancy would be another
wonderful boy, we knew we had a little caboose out there somewhere. It turns out that
five-year-old Heidi was right all along.
We feel deep gratitude for and are humbled by the courage and strength that expecting
and birth parents show by boldly doing what they believe is best for themselves and
their unborn babies.
